Biography

Ivan Radman, a Croatian citizen, was born on June 16, 1983 in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He received primary education in Velika Gorica and graduated from secondary school in Zagreb. He enrolled at the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb in 2005 and became a graduate in 2010. He received a Doctoral degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Vienna at the Institute of Sports Science in 2016. He has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Zagreb since 2017. He speaks Croatian, English and German.

During the integrated undergraduate and graduate studies, he achieved the highest number of ECTS credits (330) and the highest average rating in his generation (4.81). As the first student of the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Zagreb, he spent a semester at a foreign university (Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia). He passed all the exams within the doctoral study with the highest grade. He won various scholarships, such as the "A category for specially gifted students" scholarship of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia (2006-2010) for the excellence in studying, "LLP Erasmus" scholarship at the University of Zagreb and the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes (2010) for international student stay, as well as the research grant "Ernst Mach Worldwide Grant" of the Federal Ministry of Science of the Republic of Austria (2011-2012) for the realization of the scientific project.

As an associate on the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Zagreb since November 2010, he has participated in teaching Skiing and Anthropological Analysis of Football. From November 2012 to June 2013 he was employed in the laboratory of the Institute of Sports Science at the University of Vienna as an associate in a research project. He was first employed as an associate at the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Zagreb, from September 2015 until August 2016, and later, from January 2018, as a postdoc in the research project and on the Quantitative Methods class.

He is the author of over twenty scientific publications in the field of kinesiology and sports medicine, out of which a significant number is published in internationally acknowledged scientific journals, indexed by the Web of Science. He is the reviewer of international scientific journals - Sports Biomechanics, Journal of Sports Sciences and International Journal of Sports Medicine.
